RigFig makes money through affiliate links. Here’s exactly how that works.

What an affiliate link is

Many of the product links on RigFig are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your wallet.

Which links are affiliate links

Most product links pointing to retailers. Any page with affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top. Links to match organizers, rulebooks, forums, manufacturers’ spec pages, and other reference material are not affiliate links — those are there because they’re useful.

How this affects what we recommend

It doesn’t. We’re not paid to feature specific products, and no manufacturer or retailer gets to influence our picks, our rankings, or what we say about their gear. When we like something, we say so. When something’s overpriced, underbuilt, or not worth it for run and gun, we say that too. Where commission rates differ between retailers, we link to the one with the best price or availability for you, not the best rate for us.

Products we’ve been given

If a manufacturer sends us gear to test, we say so in the review — every time, in the review itself, not just here. Receiving a product doesn’t buy a positive review, and we return or disclose anything we keep.

Prices

Prices shown on RigFig are pulled periodically and go stale. Always confirm the current price on the retailer’s site before buying. We’re not responsible for pricing errors or availability.
